Grade 2

I've been creating with the September kit from Scrap-Tastic and I thought I would share one of my pages with you. Now don't tell anyone because the kit hasn't been put into the store yet...so shhhhhh...it's just between you and me. :)

The papers are so well suited for a back to school theme so I dug way back into my photos to find a school picture to use. I chose this one of Jonathan. It was taken about 23 years ago...yikes!!! Look how cute he is!!

I had fun making those stars to add to my layout.

Cardstock:
PP: Pink Paislee
Stickers: A.C., Jenni Bowlin
Rubons: Pink Paislee
Ink: Tim Holtz
Flip notes: Pink Paislee
Die cut paper: K I Memories
Misc: Uniball Signo pen
I also used sketch #132 from The Scrappiest to create my page.

Robot Love

This is a current favourite layout of mine. I used an old photo from 1986 of my boys and my nephew. They are sitting on the deck that we had on their own little lawn chairs. They are just too cute.

I used the August kit from Scrap-Tastic and stamps from myStampBOX called Programmed Robots to create my layout and 2 cards and it was an awesome pairing!

PP: MME
Stamps: myStampBOX
Stickers: Scenic Route
Diecuts: MME
Ink: Memento, Tim Holtz
Misc: Copics, Glossy Accents,Machine Stitching, Google eyes, Creative Scrappers sketch

I stamped the little robots, coloured them with Copics, cut them out and pop dotted them onto my page.

The "happy day" that you see stamped there is also from the same stamp set.

On my cards I stamped sentiments from the stamp set onto die cuts from the kit. Both robots were stamped, embossed and cut out to use on my cards.
Don't you love the little googly eyes that I gave them?

Aislinn

Here is another layout that I made using the August Scrap-Tastic kit.
I was so glad that my nephew and his wife sent me this picture of Aislinn wearing the hat that I bought her when she was just a toddler. She sure got lots of wear out of it!

YUM

I'd like to share a layout that I made using the August Scrap-Tastic kit.

After my daughter's wedding 7 years ago we took some family members to Niagara on the Lake to see the historic town and of course having some ice cream was a must! Here I am sharing my cone with little Aislinn.

Aren't those little cones too cute? I made them with myStampBOX stamps.

We All Scream for Ice Cream

I've been wanting to make a cone for an ice cream cone using my Pennants stamp set for awhile now so I finally sat down and did it!! I love how it turned out!!

I stamped one of the banner shapes on brown cardstock using Versamark and then clear embossed it.
For the scoops of ice cream I punched out circles from Urban Lily paper.

Here you can see the glitter on my ice cream.

Stamps: myStampBOX(Mention it, Pennants)
PP: Urban Lily
Cardstock: SU, Bazzill
Ink: Memento, Tim Holtz
Punch: CM
Rhinestones: Kaiser
Misc: Embossing powder,Versamark, Stickles

I am entering this card in The Paper Variety's circle challenge this week.

Flower tutorial

I've was asked by some followers to give them a tutorial on how to make these little flowers so here you go. :)

First punch out 4 circles. I used a 1 1/4" circle punch but you can use whatever size you like.

Fold each one in half and cut on the fold line.

Fold over 1/3 of the semi circle.

Fold under the remaining 1/3. (accordion fold)

Glue each little folded "pie" shape onto a circle cut out of heavy cardstock or something similar.
I use liquid glue so I have a little "play" time to get it all placed just right.

The size of your original circle will decide on how many little pie shapes you need. I only needed 6 for this one.

Let dry and add something to the center...like a brad.

You can see them in a layout here and here. Have fun making them!
