Fusion #6

This is the first time that I've played along with this challenge but I'm sure it won't be the last!

Here is a look at the challenge:

 

I chose to fuse the 2 challenges. When I saw the little teacups I remembered that I had a teapot stamp so I used it to make my background and then used it as a focal image.

Monday Monday

Merry Monday that is!

Once again I played along with the latest sketch challenge # 61. I used my Cameo to cut the image out of some glittery paper.

 

Now after I made this card I wondered how it would look with the beautiful glittered paper as my base and the image in white.

 

And then I saw the negative image sitting on my desk and another card was born!

Dynamic Duos # 52

It's a new week at Dynamic Duos and this week the challenge is to use any past Dynamic Duo challenge. Cool!

It's a celebration week too. Dynamic Duos is having their One Year Anniversary! Huge Congrats!!!

I chose Real Red and Island Indigo as my past Duo.

 

I recently purchased some of the Uncharted Waters collection from Glitz and thought that the paper I used for my background was perfect for the Indigo colour.

I added just a pop of Red by using the twine and the heart that is coming from the whale's spout.

The Paper Bakery

I'm so glad that I found The Paper Bakery! Everyone over there is so nice and they have the BEST service ever!!

For National Scrapbook Day they had a sketch challenge which I finally had a chance to participate in. You can find it right here.

Instead of creating a layout for this sketch I opted to reconfigure it to make a card. Yay......I now have my Father's Day card ready to go!!

I'm proud of myself for digging into some older scrap stash. Of course I added some newer goodies too...hee hee.....but at least I DID use some ignored product too.

Well I was a real dope and missed the deadline for Merry Monday by 13 min. even though I had my card done a couple a days ago....lol!! Time zone difference....duh!!

Black and White Cookie

I don't know if any of you were fans of the Seinfeld show but my sons know every episode off  by heart I think!

When my son Cameron came to visit us in Florida this March and we were out doing some grocery shopping in the bakery he saw the "black and white cookie" that was the theme of one of the episodes and just had to have one. This of course was a photo opportunity that I couldn't pass up...hee hee!!

My 2 Sons

Last weekend I was at my home away from home, Memories Manor, for a scrap retreat where I made this layout.
In making it I have discovered 3 new loves...yes 3!

The first is The Paper Bakery where I found the sketch. They are having a sketch challenge if you wish to check it out. The owner, Sarah, is the sweetest thing ever and I have purchased some flair badges from her recently....with a free shipping special no less!!! You will be seeing them in my future projects for sure!!

The second is the Heidi Swapp Color Shine mist. Love how fast it dries and the glitter it has and how I can get nice big drops on my page.

The third is the Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper. This is a must have and you will definitely be seeing more of this on my blog. You can find this collection at Scrapbook Memories and More. That's where I got it.

Seize the Birthday #12

I got another birthday card done this weekend and all because I played along with Seize the Birthday. This was perfect because we had to make a feminine card with the sketch and I have an aunt with a birthday this week.

Oh it feels good to get back into my scraproom after a whole month!!

So I got right back into participating in the Merry Monday challenge. I want to keep on track with my Christmas cards this year and this is the perfect way to do it.

I just noticed that I never shared this card with you.

I really loved how this card turned out and a dear friend of mine is the recipient.



I know my blog is still quiet but soon I will be home from our month long vacation and then I will be back in my scraproom creating!! Some new product is waiting for me and I can't wait to play!!
